Our Mission

The Non Partisan Association is a group of individuals who research problems. Later, this will become a political group that will work to help Albertans and their kids in the future.

NPA thinks we should always be open and honest about everything we do. We will share all our information so people can hold us responsible for our actions. This makes sure our actions are always based on common sense ideas. The only time we might keep information private is if a judge or a court tells us we have to, maybe for a trial.

We have one main rule: Our group wants to make decisions based on clear plans, not just catchy sayings. Our goal is to have everyone agree on things, using these practical ideas. We want to do this without following just one leader like a fan club. The "NPA" is built on smart common sense that will help all the people in Alberta have a better future.

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 territory and the Métis Homeland. This land has always been a traditional meeting place, a gathering spot, and a travel route for many different Indigenous peoples.

These lands are the home of the Cree, Saulteaux, the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), and Dene. They are also home to the Métis Nation across Alberta, including the eight Métis Settlements.

We want to show our respect to all the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people whose footsteps have marked this land for hundreds of years and who are still here today.

Our Values

Respect

Acknowledging the land is a way of showing we respect the first peoples who lived here and still live here. We are grateful to be able to learn and grow on their traditional land.

Inclusion

We want everyone's voices and stories to be heard and valued.

Consensus

We wish to work together and listen to each other. We are on a shared journey of learning about Indigenous histories and cultures, and how to be better friends and partners on this land. We will learn together and do our part to take care of the land and each other, following the spirit and intent of the Treaty.

NPA Reaffirms Commitment to Canadian Unity and Universal Health Care

As Alberta navigates the challenges and opportunities of 2026, the Alberta Non-Partisan Association (NPA) is issuing a clear and unequivocal statement regarding our vision for the province's future.

On National Unity and Sovereignty

The NPA does not believe in the Alberta sovereignty movement.

We believe that Alberta's greatest strengths are realized through our continued and active participation within the Canadian federation. While we remain dedicated to advocating for Alberta's interests, we firmly believe that isolationism and separation serve only to weaken our economic and social fabric.

We are proud to be Albertans, and we are fundamentally proud to remain part of Canada. Our commitment is to a strong, united country where Alberta continues to be a vital partner.

On the Protection of Universal Healthcare

The NPA believes that Universal Healthcare is sacrosanct.

Access to high-quality medical treatment is a fundamental right of every citizen, regardless of their financial status. We do not support any form of private, U.S.-style healthcare.

We stand firmly against the commodification of our health system and remain committed to a robust, publicly funded model that ensures no Albertan is ever left behind or burdened by the cost of essential care.

Our Path Forward

The NPA's priority is the long-term stability and well-being of all Albertans. We reject divisive constitutional rhetoric and any erosion of the public services that define our society.

We remain focused on building a province that is prosperous, healthy, and a cornerstone of a unified Canada.

About the Alberta Non-Partisan Association (NPA)

The NPA is dedicated to evidence-based policy and stable governance, prioritizing the common interests of Albertans over partisan division and ideological experiments.
